- There are four islands that make up the Fjäderholmarna: Stora Fjäderholmen, Ängsholmen, Libertas and Rövarns holme

- The name Fjäderholmarna comes from the two Swedish words; fjärd which means narrow coastal inlet; and the word holm which is means little islands, i.e. Fjäderholmarna means ”the little islands in the coastal inlet”.

- The islands are part of The Royal National City Park, created in 1995

Things to see:

Fjäderholmarna consists of four islands, a bit east of the Djurgården island. On a verdant island you find outdoor café, restaurant and a well known smokery. If you want to spend a full day here, you can visit the local craftsmen, the museum and the brewery to try Swedish whisky or beer. During the summer it hosts numerous concerts and events throughout the warmer months.

Note: Tour run by Strömma Kanalbolaget. To go on a sightseeing tour by boat you will need to pick up your free ticket at the Strömma ticket booth at the porch where the tour departures from. You are not able to pre-book tours with the Stockholm Pass.

During the summer it is a good idea to visit the ticket booth early the same day to collect your sightseeing tour ticket. Sometimes there are a lot of visitors and some tours may be full during the high season.
If you do not get a ticket to one of the tours you hade planned you can ask for tickets to the next tour the same day.
